@jettelly 45 degrees is likely better for precision gameplay in tight environments with any obscuring foreground props, but also for tight vertical movement in general. 30 degrees looks more cinematic. I don't think you would go wrong by having this be a player option.
@MiroHQ I just received this scam email that looks extremely official due to how your invite email is structured. It landed right in the "Important" section of my Gmail. Don't let this get out of control.
@ZiggyDStarcraft Thanks! A YouTube commenter analyzed it a few years ago and found out it was Turing complete, which was both horrifying and hilarious.
It's the 1950s. COBOL promises an English-like syntax that will allow non-specialists to program software systems, 10x productivity and not needing to understand the underlying system.
It's the 1970s. SQL promises natural language queries that managers can write themselves, "just tell the database what you want, not how to get it," and "no more dependency on programmers for data access."
It's the 1990s. Visual Programming tools promise "program without coding," "drag and drop your way to enterprise applications," and "development at the speed of thought."
It's the 2000s. MDA promises "design once, deploy anywhere," "business users can modify the models," and "automatically generate perfect code from UML diagrams."
It's the 2010s. No-Code platforms promise "anyone can build an app," "eliminate the middleman between business and technology," and "goodbye IT department!"
It's the 2020s. Vibe Coding promises "just describe what you want in natural language," "no programming knowledge required," and "focus on what your software should do, not how it works."
The game was built in @godotengine v4.2.1 and as always I loved the process. Godot makes a lot of things so smooth. Time to upgrade to 4.4 beta and play around with some new things.
The codebase? Eh, let's not talk about that. Things stayed somewhat clean up until 2 days ago.
Just completed a game in 9 days, Propulsion Protocol. An old-school launcher game that I made for #Bigmodejam2025

This was fun - and difficult - massive thanks to my wife for the extra time to program and taking care of our little guy.
I was worried the mastery curve would be next-to-nil on this game and therefore it wouldn't be very fun. However with Retro Rockets, Screw Attack, and the Stardust upgrades, there are really a lot of ways to reach the finish line and a little bit of rocketry to do so.
@putxiwhipped3@bandito0o1@TomBradyEgo That might have been the case 25 years ago, but with the cost of tickets and the amount of people going to playoff games as a status symbol, the crowd isn't as dedicated as it used to be.
