National Seven Circuit Tournament director Kevin Wambura has hinted at a possible introduction of U16 and U18 teams in this year’s circuit, alongside the women’s category.
Speaking during the launch of this year’s competition today at RFUEA, Wambura said discussions are ongoing between his office and the KRU Director of Rugby.

The 2026 National Sevens Circuit has received a major boost after SportPesa unveiled a KSh 34.14 million sponsorship package, doubling last year’s investment and reaffirming its commitment to the growth of Kenyan rugby. The partnership will support teams, clubs, media coverage, fan experiences, and increased prize money as the 25th edition of the circuit kicks off on 25th–26th July with the Prinsloo 7s in Nakuru before travelling across the country and culminating with the Christie 7s in Nairobi in September.
