@Montananese There are things more controversial than others in cultures so you have to be more careful and try to not just use it as simply "wow this is a funny idea I had hahaha" and slap it into your creative work randomly just because it's cool/funny, e.g. the wendigo
@Montananese Yes? Proper research and respectful intent. Which I haven't done the proper research yet (because apparently there's different kilt patterns that change over the years the last time I looked into Scottish regiments) but I mean no disrespect to the scots. They're good lads.
I do want a realistic artstyle and i guess i can look at bridgman's constructive anatomy as a reference but i still have a hard time understanding it its like trying to do a 3 steps skip on the stairs. so copying the simpler ones then working my way to more complex ones :p
I dont read jjk but I remember they like to use a lot of hand signs and i realized Oh maybe itll be a good reference for hands for me because im not that great at drawing them and i struggle a bit trying to use perspective to build the form for it
+ itll just end up looking like the kyu gunto which i just found out about recently because i got curious if there really was a two handed sword with a handguard
im sure itll be more efficient to remove the hand guard split between the space for each hand on the handle but then you might aswell make it fully katana shaped. How boring!
oh my god guys I have so many photos of different versions of this drawing because I was afraid I'd mess it up 😭😭😭😭😭 which I think I did but I'm not really sure about it. I'm feeling mixed. I should get color markers. Don't use a highlighter.
