@LizardbethArt@annoyinghippy@dieworkwear Some get sponsored or married and it’s a cake walk. For the rest of us it is incredibly time consuming and has to be the primary focus for about a decade. I did it but it’s not easy. And it’s not cheap either.
@marcusveniquis@Sime0nStylites But a bank is not a non-profit, it’s a business. So if a client simply isn’t moving enough money through or doesn’t have enough products why can’t they decide not to keep you? Banks certainly aren’t required to take people so why should they be required to keep them?
@maestroxv_@JayJrDad@SaintBazzi My hubs has said that to a woman in front of me - *especially* when they are complaining about being single - and I’ll chime in right after. “Yeah. What he said sis. You’re gorgeous and clever. Keep the faith!” It’s not that complicated when the relationship is solid.
@JohnathanPerk I notice but won’t say anything necessarily to the host because I’m southern and that neural pathway is just too deep. But I will make remarks to others and based on their reaction I know what kinda group I’m dealing with.
@1ndus@benparr I agree that it’s a stretch to say it’s the #1 predictor but it’s not survivorship bias. That would be if they had no data on the shorter relationship startups (like having no data on the shot down planes - an example where the bias is often cited) but they do have that data.
@MiRoDaniels1 @niceworkluv@notcapnamerica If someone tells you you have to quit your job - the one you had when he asked you out - that is not boundary setting. I’m amazed this is even a discussion.
@jpatterson1000@shakenbake803@Davidlaz Why are the other examples ridiculous? Nothing in the judgement specified what beliefs are protected nor did it specify a profession. So a public school teacher can refuse to teach biracial kids. Or an atheist ER doc can refuse a Christian. The law cuts across all beliefs & jobs.
@MattyParks12@shakenbake803@Davidlaz Not missing the point. What you’ve offered up is an absurd false equivalency. You’re talking about someone who lacks the skills to do a job not a qualified professional who refuses to do their job. If you can’t see how these are entirely different arguments this is pointless🙄
@AMCKunneke@MgtmMoisan@umairh@PennyPo54201061 You know she’d be the first to get her nose outta joint if someone wished her happy holidays instead of merry Christmas. Or the school celebrated any holiday that wasn’t Christian. Good for me but not for thee.
@48craneoperato1@ACLU Reading is fundamental. Here are all the cases where the ACLU defended Bible thumpers. Even a couple where they defended their right to protest again the big bad LGBTQers. But don’t let the truth get in the way of your rant my man. https://t.co/Tov9auwjfH
@LindaMBeecham@mollymcghee@GuardianJessica I know you’re muting but I wanted to send a message of support ❤️ My father grew up painfully poor. Went to bed hungry. He became a wealthy brain surgeon (given opps not available to PoC) but he STILL carries the pathology of poverty that my bro & I inherited even w $. It’s wild.
