@PleasureElf It was announced to the media like a ywar ago but now it's come back up... around the same time as the cost increases to arts and humanities... sounds like another way to funnel students into programs the govt. thinks are "useful" like nursing and agriculture

I still love what I'm studying, and I'm very fortunate in that respect. But I never would have been able to push through with the threat of "50% failure = pay up" as yet another anxiety at the forefront of my mind. The govt are so incredibly disconnected and it's terrifying

This bit right here 👇 is probs 95% of the reason why I did my masters straight after my bach - I was far to anxious to go into the job market because I thought I wasn't good enough yet, and centrelink had been my income for the 3 years. There was no way I was gonna lose that

It took me a while to admit, but in hindsight I knew I was in too deep by going FL with my masters, but I've done so - failing multiple courses in the process - so I could maintain an income and roof over my head. It has been horrible at times
