@johnEdHurley Yeah that's a theory floated by folks like Rob Skiba, but I struggle to believe that God would wipe out all of humanity while also allowing corrupted DNA on the ark.
People are always asking how the nephilim returned after the flood...
Jubilees 8 answers this for us. There was no "second incursion" of fallen angels. Post-flood humans found the old writings of the Watchers, which taught them how to biologically engineer giants, chimera, etc.
Nimrod rose to power by implementing these writings from the Watchers.
When the antichrist arrives on the scene, he will use the same technology Nimrod used and usher in a new era of trans-humans.
π In order to participate in Passover, you have to be circumcised (Exodus 12:48)
π If you do not participate in Passover when an earthly temple and priesthood were available, you were cut off from God's people (Numbers 9:13)
....So why did the Jerusalem council in Acts 15 tell gentile believers they didn't need to be circumcised to obtain salvation? π€
Why did Jesus repeatedly refer to Himself as "the Son of man"?
π Throughout the OT, the phrase "son of man" is used numerous times to describe the offspring of Adam and human fragility (Job 25:6, Is 51:12)
π The phrase "son of man" essentially means "fragile human offspring descended from Adam"
π God repeatedly called prophets like Ezekiel and Daniel "son of man", so the title is clearly not exclusive to Christ. Every human is a "son of man".
π Jesus always referred to Himself as THE son of man (never "a son of man"). Why? Because He was directly referencing a key prophecy in Daniel 7:13. The "son of man" described in that verse is the Messiah. Christ was saying, "I'm THE Son of Man that you all are waiting for. I'm that guy."
π In Jesus' day, people didn't realize that the person in Daniel 7 is a resurrected son of man. They assumed that specific son of man would rule and reign like a normal, mortal human.
π Rev. 1:13, 14:14 depict Jesus as the "son of man" ruling the earth in His resurrected state, providing more clarity to the Daniel 7 prophecy.
π So, when Jesus called Himself "the son of man", He was saying that He is a human being who is the fulfillment of the Daniel 7 prophecy.
Note: This clearly presents a unique challenge to classic Trinitarian dogma. Daniel 7 prophesies that a human will rule the earth, which Christ affirmed repeatedly.
That's not to say Jesus could not have pre-existed in a spiritual state before He was born on earth. But the title "son of man" clearly conveys that He is fully human. If He was not human, than the Daniel 7 prophecy could not apply to Him.
@F3Generic Solid point. And I guess a Bat Kol occurred when Jesus was baptized by John, which means it is a legitimate form of communication that God used in Paul's day.
What if the "voice from heaven" that blinded the Apostle Paul on the road to Damascus wasn't a random miracle, but a deeply rooted Jewish phenomenon that ancient listeners instantly recognized?
Letβs talk about the "Bat Kol" and how it changes how we view Paul's story... ππ
6/ Here's the question...
Does this cultural background lend MORE credibility to Paul's Damascus Road story (showing he fits a known patterns of divine calling)? Or does it REDUCE his credibility (suggesting he used a familiar trope to validate his new movement)? I'm undecided.
5/ Even after Paul's time, the Talmud records legendary rabbis like Hillel the Elder and Hanina ben Dosa receiving divine validation through a Bat Kol.
For ancient Jews, a disembodied voice confirming a divine truth was an established, accepted occurrence.

One day, Christians will learn to actually study God's law.
When Jesus died, the sky went dark at noon.
Not an eclipse β thatβs impossible during Passoverβs full moon.
Seven impossible things happened in those hours.
We broke them all down.

How many Christians know that the Antichrist is called the "Man of Lawlessness" because he will oppose the Torah? (God's eternal law)
π "For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of LAWLESSNESS is revealed" - 2 Thess 2:3
"For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace." - Rom 6:14
Paul equates sin having dominion over us to being under the law. When you submit to a lifestyle of sin without Christ's atonement, you are under the dominion of sin (under the law). Does that mean believers are free to now sin (which is breaking God's law, per 1 John 3:4) without repentance? No, because that would place us under the law.
"For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming" - verses 7-8
