Many of them do come out of the 5th century. Yes, some eastern philosophy came into that area around the time you reference, but you have to consider the contextual evidence. One, those gospels origins claim authenticity through authors who would have been long dead, even at the earliest we see them. They are also completely in contradiction to the written eye witness testimony of what Jesus taught. And, finally, many early church father's have writings combating gnosticism, saying they have no validity. There is no historical evidence that those gnostic gospels were correct. Thus, making them forgeries.
