You can see my current modeling workflow here.
I love the speed and freedom this offers and the quality doesn't take a hit either. Plus I still get to use subdiv ๐
@ThatNgonGuy@GutberletGerald It's a shame all the skills we've developed are slowly becoming obelete. I miss crafting and solving the subdiv topology puzzles and making cool shit lol
@odd_enough Also just another bridge to cross on leveling up again like ch47. I have complete faith in you man, give yourself a break and remember the bad ass that you are.
@odd_enough It's a similar situation with character modeling. When a character is stylized or very simple there's no where to hide, every curve or straight line must be perfect. When it's a more realistic or complicated character, you can hide in the details.
Just finished up this 3D winch assembly. Pretty happy with the way this one turned out considering the tight tolerances of the internal parts. Check out my website portfolio for additional renders and give it a๐. It helps out and is greatly appreciated!

@odd_enough@airbornstudios Love you too brother! We need an old team meeting once a week or month on Skype to keep everyone in the loop on our lives & personal work. Must feel really good to take the chains off from the last job haha. A 1000 lbs off your shoulders and now you get to make fun things
@odd_enough@airbornstudios It's been 9 years working together which means we're family now haha. Keep the legend of the slow motion high five going and keep dropping knowledge. Excited to see you enter the character world and make some bad ass characters, like you said, they're just walking guns haha
Step 7) Finally add a Multiresolution Modifier and you'll be ready to sculpt and all the panels will retain their original shape keeping your seams together and undisturbed.
