@DesertDog2024 @JRStaffa @jrpsaki @AdamSchiff Trump previously suggested suspending the constitution. So if he suspends it, then gets taken to court over it, and while the courts take years to decide whether he can be prosecuted, he's already declared himself Emperor, executed the generals, etc.

@JRStaffa @jrpsaki @AdamSchiff The ruling leaves it to lower courts to decide what counts as an official act, so if suspending the constitution killing an opponent, and giving Putin the nuclear codes is argued to be necessary to 'save' America then the courts may agree that those acts were official.
