We don’t want your tokens, we don’t want your funds. We never have. This was a community takeover from day one, and despite being called scammers, we never took supply control and never unloaded a single token onto the market.

Here's the plan

��� A snapshot will be taken at random over the next 72 hours.

→ Every cent we put in goes over to the new contract, all of it, as a dev buy on the new Ponscupine.

→ Everyone holding at the time of the snapshot is included in the relaunch, brought in after our dev buy, so you're coming in on the same footing we are.

→ That's our thank you, for staying through an absolute shit show none of us saw coming.

→ From there, all volume feeds $PONS back to everyone, exactly as planned. Hold the mascot, get paid in Pons.

We will exclude all holders prior to the CTO.

We won’t be airdropping supply to existing wallet holders prior, it’ll be just for the community we’re building that bought in after our posts. The supply goes to the right people, not dead idle wallets.

We came into this with one goal.

Take the little hedgehog mainstream and make him the mascot of Pons. We got spoofed, same as every one of you. But a setback doesn't kill a mission. We're not walking away from it. We're doubling down.

We didn't ask you for anything then, and we're not asking now. For the people looking to rock with us, we’re going to do everything in our power to add value to the $PONS ecosystem, and to our holders.

Community update — we need your input on this one.

tldr, we're not fucking leaving, we're levelling up with yor input.

Quick recap of where we're at, and where we're thinking of going. The original plan was a CTO, take supply control and build on an existing contract we believed was an official, inactive Pons token. As you all now know, that wasn't the case, it was a spoof.

It happened. We continue. Honestly? We're not thrilled about pumping fees and momentum into a contract that spoofed the whole community and generating fees for the scammer.

So here's what we're considering: a full, fresh relaunch of Ponscupine, but done properly, and done better.

The plan on the table:

→ Relaunch $PONSCUPINE, paired to $PONS this time opposed to ETH.

→ A tax that automatically distributes $PONS to every holder. It's exactly what a mascot should do, cover the platform, spread the word, and funnel real volume back into Pons continuously. Hold the mascot, get paid in Pons.

→ A complete relaunch with a 1:1 value airdrop, every existing holder made whole, same value, no one left behind.

→ Existing holders get an early buy link to bond first, before we open the marketing floodgates across socials.

→ Dev supply stays untouched.

→ The $PONS accumulated through fees funds the mission, marketing, billboards, and everything else that gets the little guy seen.

Nothing is decided yet. This is your call as much as ours, that's the whole point of a community takeover. The community must want it as much as us, if there is only a few of us pushing the little hedgehog it won't get far, if we build an army behind it making noise we can make waves throughout the PONS community.

The alternative is the price is back to a point we can get supply control, there is no huge wallets that can destroy the charts. But as mentioned above, it would be pumping more fees into the spoofers wallet, whereas them same fees generated could be used to push back to our holders, and the wider PONS community.

Just to clarify, NO snapshot has been taken yet. Given the outcome, and number of votes will determine if we start a fresh with everyone that bought since we announced the CTO, or continue with the existing contract. Obviously, if we was to move to a new contract we wouldn't be airdropping supply to holders prior to us taking over, it would be within a timeframe of our first tweet and the time of the snapshot.

A third alternative we considered is a takeover of the original contract which would allow us to redirect fees to fund marketing. Unfortunately, the original contract is a V1, and they are not eligible for fee redirects according to @MEADGod

To clarify, this wasnt launched directly by MEADGod, it was launched from a bad actor trying to harm robinhood:0x39dbed3a2bd333467115de45665cc57f813c4571 and its community with a very elaborate GH.

He sold a month after and left for good on the 17th of August on chain.

So from here we say fuck him and become the mascot of PONS, what we always set out to be.

Every narrative starts with a seed. Ours was planted by someone who isn't here anymore, and that turns out to be the best thing that could've happened to it.

A little hedgehog called Ponscupine showed up about a week after $PONS. He came with a story attached, a GitHub, and a deleted file. People liked him. The community adopted him. And a lot of us, us included, took that story at face value.

It has come to our attention that GitHub wasn't the official Pons repo. The verified Pons repository is private, https://t.co/l9q6CH1Ku4. The "deleted commit" backstory that got wrapped around the mascot came from the spoofed repo, not from Pons. That's on us, and we're saying so out loud rather than quietly editing it away.

What's left is better than the story someone invented.

The person who planted it is gone, and it's all on-chain. The wallet that created and launched the original Ponscupine token has fully exited. It sold its entire supply and walked away, roughly 17 days ago, and it hasn't looked back. This isn't a rumour and it isn't us asking for the benefit of the doubt. It's a transaction. It's public. The single biggest risk in anything like this is the founder, the person sitting on a giant bag, the dev who can pull the rug, the "team allocation" that unlocks and dumps on everyone who believed. Ponscupine doesn't have that problem. The person who could have done that already did the least harmful version of it, they left, completely, before we started.

And the liquidity? The pool was created through the Pons factory, and the LP position was sent to the official Pons locker, not sitting in some anonymous hand. The infrastructure under this thing is Pons's own.

What's left is a clean slate and a mascot people already care about. And the supply is in the community's hands now, not a founder's, not a dev's, ours. That's not a threat and it's not a promise about a chart, it means the thing that decides what Ponscupine becomes is the people holding him, out in the open, together.
