If only Klopp knew what was coming. If only he knew that 10 months after a tragedy hit this big family, some impostors would starting calling the manager names. But we know we are Liverpool and this ALWAYS means more. Better days ahead.
Time is Ticking: Government Under Fire as Historic Protests Rally TDs and International Support
The Irish Road Haulage Association (IRHA) has confirmed it will not participate in the ongoing fuel price protests while it remains in negotiations with the Government.
In a statement, the organisation said it is engaging daily with ministers to secure further supports for the haulage sector, which has been severely impacted by crippling fuel price increases. “We are currently in negotiations with the Government for more supports for our industry following these crippling fuel price rises,” it said. “We reiterate that we will not be taking part in any protest actions while we are negotiating in good faith with the Government, contrary to reports on social media.”
The IRHA added that it believes dialogue is the best way to resolve the issue and will continue its ongoing discussions to deliver further support for its members.
The nationwide protests against soaring fuel prices entered their third day on Thursday, with convoys of trucks and tractors blocking major routes, including the M7 in Laois and other parts of the country. Protesters have also gathered at Whitegate, Ireland’s only oil refinery, in Cork.
SnD Media caught up with Aontú leader Peadar Tóibín, who had travelled to Dublin to stand in solidarity with the protesters on O’Connell Street. He is only the second elected TD encountered at the protests since the first day. Tóibín agreed there was a clear lack of “basic communication” skills from politicians and stressed that representatives in the Dáil have a duty to speak directly with the people.
We have also received contact from GB News, which is sending a media team to the capital to cover what has now become a historic demonstration attracting international attention.
Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan warned that large vehicles blocking critical infrastructure will be removed as the action continues.
Foreign Affairs Minister Helen McEntee said the Government must respond, and that the Defence Forces will “respond in the most appropriate way.” She added that actively blocking people from accessing fuel, disrupting ambulances, or stopping the transport of milk and animal feed to and from farms is “crossing into criminal behaviour” and must stop.
As the demonstrations continue to gather momentum, time is ticking for proper communication and meaningful engagement from the Government.

Helpfully, he’s also wearing a coat inspired by a zebra crossing…
