@PooledEnergy for the ‘Nest’ of pool pumps.
(1/2) We are actively managing pool power considering the damage to the Grid by fires yesterday. With the loss of transmission lines to VIC and to Snowy generation, NSW had an acute shortage of power and we immediately cut pool energy use across all our pools in response.
@seanmhenley Thank you for helping us to help the energy grid. Although your calls came in on Sat morning before the grid emergency occurred, we're thrilled that you are as keen as we were to help NSW through this major grid event.
(2/2) We have restored some operations today to ensure pools are adequately sanitised but will keep actively managing pool power use to assist the Grid. Please stay safe and let us know if you have any questions.
Regards, The Pooled Energy Team
@seanmhenley He responded to your suggestion: We have added it to the list. Yes, the App is on-developing in many ways and you will see other household appliances, including air-conditioning, which is the next largest energy consumer in most houses, coming into the App during 2020.
