(3 of 3) And please, don’t make it seem like Twitter’s failures or successes are all yours. You own them, yes; but you also could build a team and build this company on honesty. Try it out before being a quitter and hoping that this pseudodemocratic polling can cover your ass.
(1 of 3) So a supposed genius, now wants to run to the door and get permission without accountability. No. In the words of the Internet, @elonmusk, suck it up, buttercup. Own your mistakes, own the losses, and take the criticisms.
(2 of 3) All this nonsense after arbitrarily changing policies without consultation with Twitter users, posting absurd and unscientific polls, wildly banning & unbanning legitimate journalists, and producing lackluster leadership. Deal with it, you gentle crystal of ice.
@GeorgeTakei This is gross, disgraceful, and also misogynistic. The first two because there was literally an attempt on VP Biden’s life foiled by federal officials. The last one because this waste of space occupying the White House implies that Sen Harris would be short of excellent as POTUS.
Just a note, on the issue of SCOTUS... in 1807 and in 1869, Congress expanded the SC to match the number of District Courts given the expansion of the USA and its judiciary. While there are 13 District Courts today, the SC hasn’t been expanded since 1869 (@ 9 District Courts).
If it’s postmarked by Election Day, we can’t blame voters for the lack of action by the functions of the very government that they might wish to replace or reorganize. This is just a bad ruling. The election still ends on the same day; SCOTUS makes a dumb excuse to toss ballots.
@JohnCornyn There *is* a challenge to the ACA coming before SCOTUS on 10 Nov. Why, sir, do we (a) need to have a Justice named this second when you, @JohnCornyn, held an 8 person Court for 8+ months in 2016, or (b) focus on the Court when there’s C-19 relief the nation needs now much more?
@SethSchiesel Honestly, I’ve recommended that the Biden campaign travel twice to the North (OH, IA), then twice to the South (FL, AZ), then crisscross the country twice. Mash BA, then start over. It should unlock the election. #konami
@alcampk 1. All variable names must be 1-2 characters. Acronyms == win.
2. Fit 2+ instructions per every single line; the more, the better a coder you are.
3. Write comments in as many different places as possible.
4. Version control == weak. Comments on commits == weakness incarnate.
@DanielSolis Yes! That would work well - or a reference to other dipping that one might do (in that condiment or others) in order to play on gesture-memory.
@DanielSolis So for instance, asking about smell, taste, or action/gesture experiences. Like: “this country consumes the most chocolate” or “this ingredient gives X its signature flavor” etc etc
@DanielSolis Ah, OK. Your list can totally work in my POV - if I can offer anything, questions that involve varied sense-based thought/recall (rather than anchoring with words or references) can offer good variety & let different people’s ways of thinking shine in a social activity like that.
@sarahcpr I think there are still mock Oval Offices at the LBJ and Carter Libraries. I know, non-sequitur, but... the Big Baby might be spending time in TX and GA soon...
Beautifully and sincerely said. We need to live up to the dream, the myths, and more. Voting needs to be easy and not yet another tax on the time and lives of anyone.
Being a black or brown person in America means knowing you might wait hours longer to exercise your right to vote than the white politicians who are trying to take it from you, but showing up anyway because you love your country and want it to be a better place for everyone.
