Can’t believe Johan Vasquez hasn’t received a single offer from a top Serie A club after being one of the most consistent center-backs in the league and then having a great World Cup.
Mexican players are unfortunately not well valued in Europe, and the nationality matters a lot.
I said it on the pod yesterday, but Deven Thompkins is a guy I’ve noticed a lot at #Raiders camp.
He’s fighting an uphill battle to make the team but he could be in line to make some plays in the preseason games.
#Raiders LB Quay Walker has been moving around a ton. He told us he’s playing more positions than he ever has.
Kwity Paye said Quay has been playing Sam, Will, and Dime backer.
His versatility really opens things up for Rob Leonard as a play caller.
HC Klint Kubiak on Mike Washington Jr.:
"I see a self-motivated young man that knows that there's a lot of big football ahead of him and has a long way to go, but a man that is willing to put in the work."

OH MY GOODNESS: Maxx Crosby on the fight with Kirk Cousins:
“Shit I was just doing what I do. He didn’t like that. So he got what he got, it is what it is.”
Kirk Cousins says he doesn't know if he ever played with a teammate who is "as impactful on defense" as Maxx Crosby:
"You pretty much notice and feel him on every single snap. It's a major difference maker."

🚨🚨 Raiders star Maxx Crosby had high praise for new head coach Klint Kubiak, applauding his calm demeanor and straightforward leadership style.
Crosby said Kubiak holds every player to the same standard, calling out veterans and practice squad players alike when necessary. While acknowledging it can be tough in the moment, Crosby said Kubiak's no-nonsense approach ultimately brings out the best in the team:
"He keeps it black and white. He don't give a [expletive] who he's calling out. We're in a meeting, he'll call me out just like he'll call the practice squad guy out. And that's something I appreciate… You want that, and you know it sucks in the moment, but ultimately, that's going to get the best version of yourself."

Jackson Powers-Johnson and Caleb Rogers rotated with the Raiders' first-team offense at RG on Thursday.
Before we draw any conclusions, let's look at all the info/reports we have and what has been said about/by these players and their coaches as the battle begins.
⬇️
The Raiders are unlocking Kwity Paye's versatility at training camp.
And it sounds like the $48 million free agent signing is loving his new role and responsibilities under Rob Leonard.
The Raiders' OL sounds like it has improved through the first few padded training camp practices.
That was the hope after making two big additions: Tyler Linderbaum and Rick Dennison.
And while it's still early, these two seem to be positively affecting everyone around them.
