@MJtheExpatV2_0 If the purpose is security, the ID document need only be inspected. Under FICA, the bank can only view the ID document. It records how the verification was done and cannot copy the ID. But they do. Unethical.

It also requires the least intrusive approach of processing personal information. POPIA generally prohibits the processing of biometrics.
