This took longer to put together than I care to admit, but here’s a full Alabama roster breakdown for 2026. This includes every recruiting ranking for every player. Rivals and On3 merged, so that’s why a lot don’t have an On3 ranking.
Blue = top 100
Green = ranked 4-star
Orange = unranked 4-star
Red = 3-star or lower
Gray = no HS ranking
I took the player’s name and highlighted it in the color of the *highest* ranking. The letters/numbers in the red font are rankings that just missed the top 100 (101-110 range).
In the comments below, I’ll include a breakdown of how many of each. Didn’t include any specialist — and we also have to understand that several of these guys are “scholarship-only.” But there are 85 names included (that number doesn’t include Chirgwin, Shuttlesworth or Black).
Of those 85 players, 55 of them (or 65%) were top 100 or a true 4-star with another 6 being given a 4-star ranking by at least one recruiting service (total of 72% of the roster was given a 4-star ranking or better by at least one service).
Oddly enough, I love a lot of the names who didn’t. Guys like…
-Trae’shawn Brown
-Josh Ford*
-Racin Delgatty*
-Jayvin James*
-Ethan Fields
-Tyrell Miller
-Devan Thompkins*
-London Simmons*
-Isaia Faga
-Caleb Woodson*
-QB Reese
-Carmelo O’Neal
-Dre Kirkpatrick Jr.
Some big name players there who are projected to have a significant role, whether it be as a starter, rotational piece or key depth role (star next to a player’s name means projected starter). Want to point out that Thompkins and Green were both top-100 transfer portal guys.
On the flip side, keep in mind that some top-100 guys won’t even live up to that projection. Just wanted to share a *complete* picture for you guys. Not going to be losing a lot off this roster for 2027 either.
Alabama currently has eight commits in the ‘27 recruiting class. The overwhelming consensus from most fans seems to be that the Crimson Tide have fell off on the recruiting trail.
Today, I figured I would take a look back at past years, on this exact date, and see where Alabama stood on the recruiting trail.
The results are certainly eye-opening. 👀
What are your thoughts on this graphic? 🤔
Alabama’s 2027 projected roster w/how things sit currently. Broke it down into Years 1-5 (w/possible 5-for-5 coming). Players in red are guys I *believe* are scholarship-only, but could have certain projections wrong (in both ways). This is why they’re expecting a smaller class.
Parity continues to evolve in college athletics.
Also, just like CFB….the college baseball transfer portal (opens today) being open before the end of the season is crazy.
Tuscaloosa County basketball has won the AHSAA Class 7A title. Here are the highlights from the Wildcats' 65-54 win over Hoover in last night's championship game.
We'll have a lot more coverage of the win tonight at 9 on @WVUA23Sports
