The port of Port Askaig has been the entryway to Islay and its wonders for many years.
Port Askaig, the whisky, is a discovery of and journey through Islay whisky and as such, it seemed fitting to name our whisky after this place.

It's that time of year when the world falls in love with a wonderful dram just that bit more. Perhaps snow is dusting the ground where you are and you need something to conjure warmth, or perhaps you simply want to share a dram with those closest to you.

Port Askaig 8 Year Old has a palate full of rich citrus fruit, accented by salt baked mackerel. Classic Islay peat reek is mixed with a subtle honey suckle sweetness while a background of herbal character adds balance.

Like Islay, the elegant spirit of Port Askaig moves at its own pace - ebbing and flowing with seasons, responding to the heritage and personality of the place it calls home, to make for a whisky that truly pays homage to its Ileach home.

Autumn. The spirit of Islay prepares for rest. Golden leaves emerge, tumbling from the boughs they once called home, while the last glow of summer lingers on the horizon.

A taste of Islay comes in many tantalising guises. The elegance and depth of Islay whisky is an entire experience - whether sipped neat or in a charming cocktail creation, such as a Smoked Cherry Highball from The Distillery, London. Port Askaig paired with cherry soda & rosemary
The crashing roar of the Sound of Islay, driven by the tempestuous winds and driving rain, instils the island with life and energy, enriching the character of the land, its people and its whisky. #PortAskaig100Proof

Islay was part of the Gaelic kingdom of Dรกl Riata in the 6th century AD, which continued for over three centuries, until the arrival of the Vikings.
From this strong tradition, we take inspiration for creating characterful whiskies under the Port Askaig range.
