MP that.
People that think UAE can do anything, don’t understand what football means in the UK.
The Premier League generates ~£10B per year. Pays ~£4.4B in tax every year. Supports ~110,000 full time jobs.
1.9 billion people watch the PL every year, more than any sport itw.
It's not often you see Reform UK, the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats united on anything, but all three want answers about Andy Burnham's meetings with Manchester City's owners.
Manchester City must not escape accountability over any proven wrongdoing simply because of threats to withdraw investment from Britain.
Full transparency is needed.
I cannot understand rivals having any sympathy for City or barracking for them to get away with it. They are not some plucky underdog, they are the opposite - spoilt, rich cheats reliant on their sugar daddy to cheat & steal titles, European places & rivals best players.
They have cheated everyone, they have inflated the market & not only at first team level - they changed the youth setup forever with bloated wages. Their disregard for the rules which others followed should cause resentment, not some twisted admiration.
Every club in the Premier League should be looking to fill the void after the way they negatively influenced history, whether it's a Champions League place, an extra European spot, a place in the PL itself, it is all up for grabs for anyone able to step up & take it.
Good thing Man City are so insignificant 😭
Juventus getting relegated was a massive blow to Serie A because they’re actually a massive club
Man City only have about 75,000 fans worldwide
The Premier League will be fine
City are GUILTY. No if’s. No but’s. No maybe’s. GUILTY AS FUCKING CHARGED. They are CHEATERS. So stop hypothesising. Stop blaming everyone else. Bang to fuckin rights. Nearly 20 years of cooking the books. And still couldn’t fill ya stadium. Time to give up
🚨🔵 PREMIER LEAGUE CLUBS PLANNING TO BOYCOTT MANCHESTER CITY!
Premier League clubs are reportedly considering a collective boycott of Manchester City if the club receives what they believe is a lenient punishment over the financial-rule breaches.
The clubs are said to be increasingly frustrated by the possibility of political and economic pressure becoming involved in the case, particularly amid reports of UAE concerns over the potential consequences for Manchester City.
The reported message from rival clubs is clear:
If Manchester City are given special treatment because of political or financial influence, clubs could consider refusing to cooperate with City in protest.
The situation could create an unprecedented confrontation between Manchester City and the rest of the Premier League.
🔴⚪️ Football rules must apply equally to everyone — regardless of money, ownership or political influence.
