In Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome the protagonist stumbles across a group of children living in the wasteland.
It turns out they were rescued by a pilot during the apocalypse that set the strange for the fictional Mad Max world.
In one scene one of the older children tries to retell the events that lead to their predicament.
But, they only have a fragmented understanding of what happened, and her narrative is a jumbled fairytale.
That scene reminds me of young millennial and Gen Z history content, and it’s not actually their fault.
Every effort to dig up the past just turns up previous layers of propaganda and revision.
After many generations of politically motivated deception, history might be lost to us.
@DabsMalone Up until the around war we really didn’t know if the fans had super high tech stuff squirreled away.
Unfortunately, we now know they’re 20 years behind modern warfare.
