It's not often that I'm open about intense IRL stuff goin on, but my pet snake Po has had some serious health issues the past two weeks.

Started with noticing a bulge in his tail, took him to the vet and he was swollen w fluid (??? VERY weird for a snake) and there was an odd object that showed up in the x-ray. We drained 57ml of fluid.

After some more tests, it was apparent that he needed to be rushed into surgery ASAP or else he wouldn't see his next birthday. We thought it was a mass attached to his kidney, but once we got in, thank GOODNESS the mass wasn't attached and it was removed with both kidneys staying intact! A MIRACLE.

He is now all stitched up and safely home ❤️ HUGE shoutout to @ugavetmed for taking such good care of him and treating him like the king he is every step of the way. The vets got attached to Po too :')

Still waiting on results for what the mass is, but I'm just so happy lil man is okay. 🐍❤️ He's been handling all this like a champ.
