There’s a point where these tweets are similar to Ben Shaprio going to see Barbie only to call it woke garbage. If Japanese perspective is important to you then go watch Grave of the Fireflies and get that perspective. Like please watch a Japanese movie they are incredible!

I don’t want to say this in a condescending twitter way, but if you’re looking to Oppenheimer for a Japanese perspective on nukes, I am genuinely encouraging you to instead watch Japanese film. Like even the original Godzilla or I Live in Fear

I’m not saying this to absolve Nolan from criticism but that we live in a time where it’s easier than it’s ever been to watch tons of movies that Japanese people made about WWII or Post-War Japan and you don’t have to do homework you can just watch it.
