@EricCrampton 😆😆😆😆.
To guard against Invasion, NZ needs to advertise our permitting and iwi consent process. That will be enough for China to give it a miss.
@2ETEKA@EricCrampton Oh yes indeed.
Then provide a hard-copy version of the Tauranga Port extension and the $380m mafia-style demand - or, the Gold mine and the $180m demand.
Perhaps two examples are better than one, otherwise it may be deemed a racist....
We wonder what the data-centre has paid.
@dellavaris To be fair it shouldn't be the Govts position to offer comment on any international episode.
It is the medias role to report - within the international section of the newspapers and online content.
They haven't.
@Nuked4Every1 Pre-Starmer - the majority of citizens would have helped him.
Dear I say it even a few criminals would have assisted.
Post-Starmer, with his anti-British policies....The guy is left hanging, in both shame and embarrassment.
Absolutely disgraceful stuff from Labour, Chris Hipkins, the NZ Police and Superintendent Rakesh Naidoo.
Police must remain strictly politically neutral. Their own guidelines are crystal clear: any employee intending to stand for public office must notify their commander or senior leadership at the earliest opportunity — especially someone in a high-profile, community-facing role.
Yet just weeks before today’s Labour Party announcement of him at No.13 on their list, Naidoo was front and centre at the 2026 Race Unity Speech Awards — proudly representing and supported by NZ Police.
Attending a high-visibility event as the public face of Police, while secretly lined up for a near-guaranteed Labour seat, creates a serious perception of conflict. Audiences and participants saw a neutral senior officer — not a soon-to-be partisan candidate. How on earth did Police management and Naidoo think this was ok?
In addition Minster of Police Mark Mitchell said Naidoo was included in “sensitive briefings in relation to public safety and government policy” and had been attending events with him as recently as yesterday.
Given recent events around police impartiality, this is simply inexcusable.
I mean come on. Seriously.
Chris Hipkins has no problem funnelling his superannuation — plus generous taxpayer funded contributions, straight into his own beach house, while lecturing hard working Kiwis that savings must be redirected into “productive investment.”
In his State of the Nation speech he declared:
“For too long, too much capital has been locked up in housing speculation – driving up prices, while businesses struggle to find the investment they need to grow.”
Pure hypocrisy. Do as I say, not as I do. Labour’s elite always exempt themselves.

@IrnBoru Hang on a second. NZers are told that there is an energy crisis. Imported coal and a lack of LPG. Fuel supplies are critical. But..someone (IWI?) clearly received enough money to make all of those concerns go away, in favour of a datacentre that will take power and drain water.
📊 What does this graph actually show?
It compares government debt as a percentage of GDP in 2025 with where it was in 2015.
The countries on the left have reduced their debt burden over the last decade. The countries on the right have increased it.
New Zealand sits firmly on the right.
That means government debt is now significantly higher than it was ten years ago, despite promises that today's spending would lead to tomorrow's savings.
Every dollar borrowed today has to be repaid by future taxpayers through higher taxes, reduced spending elsewhere, or more
CALL AN ELECTION NOW 😡
Australia will not survive another 2 years of Labor.
Our cities are 3rd world War Zones & our people are not safe.
They are literally importing known ISIS Terrorists & putting their radicalised foreign born kids into school with Aussie kids.
NO-ONE VOTED FOR ANY OF THIS.
Majority of Aussies want immigration to STOP & want REMIGRATION.
In Tickle vs Giggle and why it wasn’t surprising to those of us in this space. @bjportraits sums it up and refers to where it started. John Money. NZer.

🇬🇧 Sikhs are allowed to bring their knives into football stadiums.
Weapons are forbidden for everyone at sports gatherings … except for Sikhs.
This is pretty insane. How about no knives for everyone, and if you can’t deal with it, you don’t go to the stadium? Why is Britain bending over to such bad ideas?
When Labour lies, it lies. The straight faced arrogance of a Prime Minister, blatantly lying to the world.
Hipkins travelled to Britain to meet with Starmer, to plan how to win the 2026 election.
Starmer is Hipkins mentor - NZ wake up.
Absolutely brilliant 😂🏆
Tommy Robinson shows the lies of Keir Starmer as Starmer states clearly, “Britain is the land of Free Speech”…while highlighting the people that have been banned from Britain for simply speaking…
