The difference between Caitlin Clark and Alyssa Thomas’ responses couldn’t be clearer.
Both criticized the league… but the tone, accountability & overall messaging were wildly different.
One centered the game, the players, and uplifting the league.
The other… did not.
This statement was great!
1. It was a flagrant foul
2. Nobody deserves hate etc on any team
3. The media is doing a huge disservice to the W
4. She’s 24 years old and not a robot, she has feeling & emotions
5. The media be lying to push narratives
Caitlin withstood an all time media blitz of constant negativity and hit pieces to become the player of the month for June. That’s truly next level mental toughness and fortitude whew
tiffany hayes, an active wnba player, engaging with fans who were offering their services to harm caitlin clark undermines alyssa thomas’s ability to play the online harassment card.
Mind you Caitlin’s life has actually been threatened to the point of an arrest being made. No one ever checked on her. No one checks to see how she’s doing. But she’s expected to check in every single person in the league.
AT now saying their lives are in danger. So far I’ve only seen 2 arrests when it comes to players lives being in danger and they were both on the Fever. Didn’t hear anything about that though.
this league is embarrassing and so poorly run. nothing will ever change if they continue to be reactive and prisoners to social media talking points. I’ve never seen such unprofessional behavior in my life and at this point it’s clear the owners don’t care.
Caitlin hasn't opened her mouth once this whole time with this AT debacle. She's been slandered, had death wished upon her and tons of disgusting rhetoric but we asking if AT is okay? Stop fucking pandering
