VAN THIEF JAILED WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER WILD POLICE CHASE

A thief who stole a delivery van in Chatham was jailed within 24 hours after a reckless police chase.

Keenan Fairclough, 25, stole the van from Bank Street at around 11.50am on August 18 while its driver was delivering a parcel.

Police spotted the van just 10 minutes later and launched a 4.5-mile pursuit.

Fairclough drove the wrong way, ignored no-entry signs and clipped two vehicles before officers arrested him in Maidstone.

He was also charged over two previous shoplifting incidents, including stealing £240 worth of clothing and punching a shop worker in the face after being challenged over milkshakes and confectionery.

Fairclough pleaded guilty to all offences at Medway Magistrates’ Court the following day.

He was jailed for 12 months and will be banned from driving for two years after his release.

Young Male suspect was wanted on suspicion of wielding a firearm while riding in public in Los Angeles tonight. He was riding erratically thru Gas Stations, Parks and on the wrong side of the road.

He ripped the Nozzle/Hose off of the Fuel Pump and used his phone to have somebody fill up a water jug and leave it for him in the park. In the End he crashed his Bike, ran and hid in a trash can. Surrounded my police he was arrested.

An Uber driver suddenly finds himself in the middle of a police chase when two Houston officers jump into his car and tell him to follow a fleeing suspect.

The officers ride with Baines for several minutes before spotting the suspect and jumping back out to continue the chase on foot.

Dramatic home security footage has emerged showing three police cars with blue lights and sirens chasing a vehicle at speed along a narrow residential street in Teesville, Middlesbrough, only about three minutes before a fatal collision on the nearby A66.

What the video shows:

• The clip, recorded around 3:36am on Saturday 22 August 2026, captures a car speeding down Lime Road followed closely by multiple marked police vehicles.

• Residents later described being woken by the sound of tyres and engines as the vehicles passed at high speed through the quiet street.

Key details of the crash:

• At approximately 3:39am, a Volkswagen Passat travelling the wrong way along the A66 in South Bank collided head-on with a marked Cleveland Police armed response vehicle that was travelling in the correct direction.

• All seven people involved died at the scene: the two officers in the police car and the five occupants of the Passat.

• The officers have been named as PC Matthew Blades, 37, and PC Tom Clough, 38.
