Today, we thank all veterans and active military for their service to our country. The #CleanEnergy industry proudly employs nearly 35,000 veterans who are helping to power our nation through wind, solar and transmission. #VeteransDay
Happy Veterans Day! We are proud to represent an industry that hires veterans at a rate 67% higher than average - with many of those hires being right here in Texas. #PoweringTexas
Our nation’s veterans are professionals in teamwork and have transferrable skills that are highly applicable to working in clean energy. It’s no wonder why America’s veterans find jobs in wind at a rate 67% higher than the average U.S. industry. #VeteransDay
Like Texas highways, transmission infrastructure moves low-cost electricity from where it’s produced to where it’s needed. Investing in new transmission makes the energy system more reliable, affordable, and resilient—ensuring Texans have access to the energy they need.
Energy storage helps reduce carbon emissions from electricity generation. Renewables positively impact the health of Texans by reducing air pollutants and costs related to poor air quality. Learn more about the reliability of Texas’ energy grid and other types of renewable energy
Solar power was the #2 energy type among new power additions in 2020, bringing nearly $800 million a year to communities. Celebrate American Clean Power Week by learning more about solar power and how it is benefitting Texas communities: https://t.co/fg0nkH4Udf #PoweringTexas
The first-ever #AmericanCleanPowerWeek is officially underway! Throughout the week we’ll celebrate & showcase how the clean energy industry – land-based & offshore wind, solar, energy storage & transmission – is powering American jobs & economic opportunities across the country.
Wind energy powers rural communities across Texas, providing $142 million in annual rural landowner payments annually. This new income can be invested in infrastructure and provide stable income to farmers, ranchers, and landowners. #AmericanCleanPower#PoweringTexas

Renewable energy investments are a major source of funding for rural communities across Texas. Texas legislators must protect wind and solar projects across the state.
For two decades, Texas has had pro-renewable energy policies. Governor Abbott and the PUC must protect the $70+ billion investments that have been made across rural Texas.
RWE Renewables and Constellation are working together to take on the Big Star solar project, which will include a 200MW solar facility and 80MW battery storage system available for commercial operation in 2022.

Renewable energy projects have brought investments, jobs, and economic revenue to many rural communities in Texas. Policymakers and regulatory leaders must avoid changes that will alter the market retroactively.
Advanced Power, an independent developer of modern power infrastructure, anticipates building a new solar energy farm in Orange Grove, Texas. The solar energy farm will be on 920 acres of land and is expected to be completed by 2023.
The current PUC proposals have the potential to harm power contracts and assign additional costs to existing wind and solar facilities. Texas lawmakers must prevent these proposals from harming renewable energy investments across the state.
In Texas, wind turbine service technicians average $52,420 per year, and wind energy development managers average annual salary of $121,240 @TSTCHarlingen
