As we begin to think about the storms impact we may also need to look upstream, see how landscapes are managed and how water runs-off the land and what can be done to naturally slow and temporarily hold excess flow.

Some great examples of partners #NaturalFloodManagement during @TheFloodHub #NFM awareness week 🌧️🏞️. Where we make log jams, we've always made them living, with loads of lengths of willow being behind each structure. Why? Because dead softwood is decayed after 10 years!
