The thoughts of everyone at Poynton Fire Station are with the family and friends of FF Barry Martin, and his colleagues at Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. We are so sorry for your loss. Barry sadly died after sustaining serious injuries whilst fighting a fire in Edinburgh.

Nothing but pride and privilege in being able to help this WWII veteran showing his respects today. Thank you for allowing me to return the thanks of a nation. A honour to lay the wreath on behalf of @PoyntonFS & @CheshireFire#lestweforget2022
Today our crews fell silent with hundreds from the community gathered around the Cenotaph in Poynton at 11am this morning. We are proud to be able to support the march through the town and lay a wreath in remembrance of those that did not make it home. #Lestweforget
Today our crews have been supporting an emergency preparedness multiagency #JESIP table top exercise for cross border working to support large scale incidents involving inclement weather with a focus on snow. Our wildfire Argo 8x8 is also perfect for snowy weather! #tranformers
