Philadelphia Police Officer Taylor took part in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Thomas Holme School. Superintendent Dr. Tony Watlington, President Reginald L. Streater Esq. and School District Lt. Curry gave the grand tour of the new state of the art school.

Friendly reminder that our monthly PDAC membership meeting is tomorrow night at 6:00 PM held at 3100 Red Lion Road. These meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month. We are always looking for new members to help bridge the gap between community and the police π

On November 6th, the 8th District, along with the Philadelphia Police Recuits will be in the area of Rambler and Walton Park actively engaging and distributing flyers to educate people of preventive measures for auto thefts.
Philadelphia Parks & Recreation have been cleaning up the homeless encampment at Poquessing Creek Park since Saturday. This is not just a Kensington problem, this is a national problem. Thank you to all the workers, this is no easy task.
Thank you to Wawa of Grant/Academy for allowing the 8th District community team to have a pop-up Vehicle theft prevention event. Officers gave out steering wheel locks and made citizens aware of vehicle theft prevention tips. 8th District clergy even helped out.
Captain DeBlasis and the 8th District community team wanted to recognize Christ the King Parish with a Certificate of Appreciation for all the prayers and support over the years.
8th District community team held a Internation Day of Peace event at @parksandrec Picariello playground. Children made birds out of their hands and created a beautiful poster. Children took home a peace pledge in hopes of dealing with conflict in a nonviolent way.
Huge turnout for the movie night at @parksandrec O'Connor Rec Center. Over 100 people in attendance for The Sandlot! Captain DeBlasis even had the community team giving away wheel locks to prevent auto thefts. Great community event!
