@elonmusk Weak flight restriction. What percentage of lightning strikes happen in anvil clouds? Flashes account to less than 5%. Almost no data hitting aircraft. Depends on proximity to active thunderstorms... Weak restriction. Sound like something NASA would do.

@DJSnM Flying can be a dangerous thing. As a 40 year pilot, we realize this can happen to anyone. All the more reason for continuous training and caution. Don't know what happened here, but no one should fly as an occasional hobby without an experienced, proficient pilot at the controls
