@RoidMcCoy@CogitoInGa@TobyChristie Age 58 is the number from 2025 based on stats from Team Marketing Report - golf and tennis are the only two major pro sports with and older demographic right now
Coming up at 11 am ET join me for a two-hour edition of the @SiriusXMNASCAR “Pre Race Show” getting set for @IMS - news, driver/crew chief interviews, gambling/fantasy advice, @CandiceSpencer live at track and more as we countdown to race number 22 of the 2026 season
@Jtown333 Yes I still think there’s a challenge about the younger demographic and have concerns that the nascar audience just gets a year older after every season - kids truly don’t connect with the 400-500 mile races but maybe tightening up the stage breaks improves the overall experience
Did some digging and here are the average game lengths I found in other sports:
MLB - 2 hours, 38 minutes
NBA - 2 hours, 30 minutes
NHL - 2 hours, 35 minutes
NFL - 3 hours, 12 minutes
CBB - 2 hours, 15 minutes
CFB - 3 hours, 26 minutes
Cup Race - 3 hours, 14 minutes (2025)
@Jtown333 I have said during this whole discussion cup races at 3:14 is an acceptable length - shortening stage break cautions are the only thing to look at - so I didn’t prove myself wrong about anything
