@krullcalibur hes not exactly mean or degrading either, he doesnt carry the same casual cruelty like you say (and hes barely even interested in reek) instead hes doing cartoonish evil at rarer intervals ..? removing his insecurity especially dampens his character and lessens theons story too
@krullcalibur They also remove a lot of his sexual sadism, they make the castration explicit and follow through with the wedding night but outside that they do not tackle him as the rapist he is, instead making him engage in over the top nearly cartoonish acts of evil and aurafarm scenes ๐ญ
@krullcalibur I dont remember so im gonna check. But its just crazy lmfao hes such a blank villain and his actor gives the role such charisma and flair but the writing completely lacks, also iirc no bastards boys either to show hes a friendless loser with nothing his dad didnt give him ๐ญ
@krullcalibur They refuse to tackle him as a complex character at all LMFAO. and myranda ๐ซฉ. hes deeply insecure, obnoxious and childish and is repeatedly humiliated in the book because hes a bastard, in the show they dont even have Roose be stern with him? Does Roose even bring up his mother?
Everybody talks about Verso's memories not being his and living a double life but nobody talks about Alicia having the memories of a burning and agonizing brother and his screaming terrorizing her mind while her brother is very much alive.
@krullcalibur Yes 100% thats why its handled this way!!! They need to prove to the audience beforehand that hes loyal to ramsay which i get cuz we dont get his inner dialogue, but it just sucksss compared to the book version that also proves ramsay has far less influence than you'd think
@krullcalibur I honestly think it was only included for theon/ramsay, ramsay has theons 'loyalty' proven to him and therefore thinks hes ready to take moat cailin without running or asking the ironborn to help him. although this plot just sucks compared to the book version of moat cailin lmao
@krullcalibur Like im down for the siblings angst im always loving that. But she really just pulled up on the dreadfort with a boat an axe and a dream and it didnt amount to anything, i will say though how quickly she gave up on Theon once realising how far gone he was is very in character
I think yโall need to stop holding this series up as a pinnacle of social commentary. No, Suzanne Collins does not โonly write when she has something to say,โ she just wants to add more books, but also itโs not exploitative for an author to add to her own series. Itโs Her series.
@z0mbiem4n17 I've not thought abt exact heights tbh but this fits so good.. I just love tall and lanky theon with ramsay and even robb who are shorter but stockier . When one is kiki and one is bouba ๐ค
