These images are a stark reminder of what truly matters. A government's foremost responsibility is to ensure that every child has access to safe classrooms and quality education. Seeing this featured in their own media raises an important question: is this another genuine attempt to address the issue, or just the beginning of another PR exercise? Over the past two years, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Education Minister Nara Lokesh have repeatedly visited government schools, many of them upgraded under the Nadu-Nedu initiative launched during our tenure and showcased them as symbols of their government's commitment to education. However, the same urgency shown in halting the remaining Nadu-Nedu works and pursuing "Red Book" politics has not been shown toward hundreds of government schools across the state that continue to lack safe infrastructure. Our children deserve safe classrooms every single day, not attention only when it makes for a photo opportunity.
