Let’s be honest about why. People like you in the press went out of your way to scrutinize Biden over every stumble, every protest, every manufactured controversy, while Trump gets treated like normal even as he behaves more recklessly with foreign policy than just about any president in modern history.

You gave nonstop coverage and credibility to the anti-Biden noise and these protests. Now that Trump is out here acting carelessly on a daily basis, that same outrage has vanished. Why? Because too much of the press has been intimidated into silence.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.

I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.

It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.
