Twisha, who belonged to Noida, was found hanging on the terrace of her in-laws’ house at Katara Hills in Bhopal on the night of May 11.

Her parents have been accusing her husband, Advocate Samarth Singh, and mother-in-law Giribala Singh, a retired judge and presently working in the Consumer Redressal Forum, of dowry harassment and physical abuse. A court in Bhopal on Monday 18 May rejected Samarth’s anticipatory bail application. Giribala Singh was granted anticipatory bail a couple of days ago.

Giribala Singh has claimed that Twisha was a drug addict and suffered from behavioural disorders due to withdrawal symptoms. Meanwhile, Samarth remains absconding. The short post-mortem report of AIIMS Bhopal has pointed to some injury marks on Twisha’s body. The Bhopal police have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the incident.

According to SIT in-charge Misrod Zone ACP Rajneesh Kashyap, six police teams are in search of Samarth Singh. The police have also announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for information on Samarth.

जस्टिस स्वर्णकांता शर्मा ने साफ कहा, ये अर्जी ऐसी स्थिति बनाती है जहाँ हर नतीजा political फायदा बन जाए, राहत मिले ��ो “सिस्टम झुक गया”, और ना मिले तो “सिस्टम biased है।”

यानी मामला कानून से ज्यादा perception manage करने का था। लेकिन इस बार सामने politics नहीं, न्यायपालिका थी और कोर्ट ने साफ कर दिया: न्याय evidence से चलेगा, narrative से नहीं।

🔴 #BREAKING | Nepal Police has arrested former Prime Minister K. P. Sharma Oli and Ramesh Lekhak in connection with a culpable homicide case allegedly linked to the suppression of Gen Z protests in September.

📌Oli was taken into custody from his residence in Bhaktapur’s Gundu earlier today. His personal secretary, Janak Bhatta, said Lekhak was arrested the same morning at around 5 AM from his home in Suryabinayak, Bhaktapur.

📌The arrests followed a formal complaint filed by the Home Ministry, which led to an investigation and the issuance of arrest warrants.
