Not playing the official WC Fantasy game but I find the sub 5% ownership rule fascinating. You get more points if a player is under 5% owned, but if you talk about those gems then more people will pick them so they wont be 5% anymore.

What are the content creators doing then? Not telling people about good low owned picks?

You’re arguing the wrong point.

When Eng played that shit friendly last night, they didn’t do it to recreate the QF knockout game they will be in? They played it to a be more prepared for it, for when they have to go through that pressure game.

Similar logic applies to pens. Taking multiple pens vs Pickford isn’t that same as testing yourself out against another keeper in a stadium with fans. No, it wouldn’t be the same as a knockout. But can it hurt?

Why don’t all teams have a penalty shootout at the end of these pre-WC friendlies regardless of result?

Seems like a good thing to practise given how many pen shootouts ultimately decide tournament winners.
