Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji,

We are parents of children with hearing disabilities, and we wish to bring to your kind attention a pressing concern. Currently, cochlear implants and other hearing-assistive products are placed under the 18% GST bracket. For families like ours, this additional cost makes it extremely difficult to afford life-changing devices that are essential for our children’s growth, education, and integration into society.

These devices are not a luxury but a necessity, especially for children with hearing loss. We sincerely request your government to consider reducing or waiving GST on cochlear implants and hearing aids, so that more children can benefit from these technologies without financial hardship.

Your leadership has always given priority to inclusivity and empowering persons with disabilities. We hope you will look into this matter and extend much-needed relief to thousands of families like ours.
