"I have an idea, but I need a tech cofounder."
'I want to startup, and am good with tech. But don't know how to pick an idea to work on. What should I do?"

If you are involved with the startup ecosystem, there are good chances that you listened to similar conversations, or had these thoughts.

More than a decade back, Chennai based The Startup Centre came up with the concept of In50Hrs, a weekend hackathon which brought together people with ideas and people with tech expertise. The idea guys pitched their ideas to other participants, and based on voting, top 7 or 10 ideas get picked up. The participants (including those whose ideas didn't get voted up) then formed teams and worked on one of these selected ideas for the next 50 hours to build a prototype. Towards the end of the event the teams demoed these prototypes to a panel of experts that include entrepreneurs and investors, and listened to their feedback and suggestions. Even if your idea was not selected, by just being part of the event, you would learn so much about product building, pitching and such. Some good startups were thus born. No words are enough to thank @vijayanands of The Startup Centre, Chennai for all his efforts.

I vouch for the effectiveness of this events, as this is where myself and @donpeter06 met and became co-founders. The event also helped me much personally as I got the chance to meet, interact, and spend time with other investors. It's here I met @ajeeshachuthan of Open, Abhi and @ArjunSath of CareStack, Faiz of NeoIto, @deepusnath of Faya, and many many more.

In Kerala, In50Hrs was hosted by @keralastartups (Kerala Startups Society) and Faya. Last event was done a decade back.

Now, @keralastartups in partnership with GTech MuLearn, FAYA and Kerala Startup Mission is bringing the event back to life. It's happening from 23rd to 25th of this month at Technopark, #Trivandrum.
