Tulu is one of the ancient Dravidian language. Spoken by over three million people and has own its unique culture, script, etc. But still no official recognition for such a great language. This is sad.

ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಗೌರವವಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಮಾತೃ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಮಮತೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಲ್ಲ.
ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾತೃ ಭಾಷೆಗೂ ಸಮಾನ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನ ಸಿಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ತುಳುವರ ಹೋರಾಟ, ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಭಾಷೆಗೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಅವಮಾನವಲ್ಲ.

Meitei langauge has 1.76 million native speakers and Tulu has over 3 million speakers as per 2011 census. Guess what, Meitei is included in the 8th schedule and Tulu isn't. 👏

ತುಳು ಯಾವುದೆ ಒಂದು ಧರ್ಮ, ಜಾತಿಗೆ ಸೀಮಿತವಾದ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲ, ತುಳು ಭಾಷೆ ತುಳುನಾಡಿನ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ತಾಯ್ನುಡಿ, ಜಾತಿ ಧರ್ಮದ ಅಂತರವನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಒಗ್ಗೂಡಿಸುವ ಭಾಷೆ. ಇಷ್ಟಾದರೂ ತುಳುವಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳಾದರೂ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನ ಸಿಗದಿರುವುದು ದುರಂತವೇ ಸರಿ.
