धर्मेंद्र प्रधान जी ने अपने कार्यकाल में राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति (NEP) के प्रभावी क्रियान्वयन, मातृभाषाओं में परीक्षाओं की व्यवस्था, पीएम श्री विद्यालयों के विस्तार, डिजिटल शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देने, कौशल विकास एवं उद्योग-अकादमिक समन्वय को सुदृढ़ करने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण सुधार किए हैं। परीक्षा प्रणाली को अधिक समावेशी और छात्र-केंद्रित बनाने की दिशा में भी उनके प्रयास उल्लेखनीय रहे हैं। उनका कार्यकाल भारत को विकसित राष्ट्र बनाने के संकल्प के प्रति उनके समर्पण का परिचायक है।

By removing the history of the Mughals, you included the history of great warriors like the valiant Chhatrapatis and Maharana Pratap in the textbooks. Dharmendra Pradhan served as India’s Education Minister for 5 years.

During his tenure:

• Launched 14,500+ PM SHRI model schools
• Expanded DIKSHA & PM eVIDYA digital learning
• Implemented the Academic Bank of Credits
• Introduced Multiple Entry-Multiple Exit in higher education
• Advanced competency-based learning and new curriculum reforms
• Expanded NIPUN Bharat for foundational literacy
• Promoted vocational education and Indian languages
• Strengthened teacher training under NISHTHA
• Encouraged multidisciplinary and flexible higher education

No minister has a perfect record, and his tenure faced criticism over exam management.

But reducing five years to only one controversy ignores the scale of structural reforms undertaken across India’s education system.

Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned because Chanakya got the intel that the CJP was planning a massive protest outside Parliament.

The plan, was for more than 5,000 protesters to march towards Parliament, leading to violent clashes with the police.

The optics could then have been projected by a section of the media as a brutal crackdown on innocent students.

With Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, the CJP has effectively lost the central issue around which it had built its agitation.

Sad. A minister who served many portfolios over a long career. He played a leading role in implementing the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, which expanded LPG connections to millions of low-income households. He oversaw reforms such as the PAHAL direct benefit transfer for LPG subsidies and the Hydrocarbon Exploration and Licensing Policy (HELP). He saw the Steel industry through trying times in the Pandemic. Even in education if you look at the work he did outside of NEET paper leaks it was solid.
His act of resignation is to be respected.
