I didn’t start out Right-wing.
In fact, I was carefully shaped by Left-wing institutions.

I studied in Atkinson School, where teachers and nuns consistently framed the world through Left-liberal morality—inequality as injustice, capitalism as exploitation, tradition as oppression. I absorbed it fully. I even read The Hindu religiously.
I participated in The Hindu Young Minds Quiz and won a small prize for finishing 5th that year. Those moments validated that worldview for me.

I genuinely believed I was on the “right side of history.”

That ideology didn’t stay academic. It shaped how I lived.

Though born into a Muslim family, I became vegan, joined PETA, and actively opposed Jallikattu, arguing passionately that animals were being tortured. I took part in radical debates, convinced that moral outrage alone could correct civilizational practices.

Even today, I am still vegan and still part of PETA.

Not because of ideology—but because I genuinely love animals. I was born on October 4, World Animal/Wildlife Day, and from childhood I’ve felt a deep responsibility toward protecting animals through whatever small initiatives I can take. That part of me never changed.

What changed was my understanding of how societies and individuals actually function.

That shift began when I started studying CA.
In accounting, taxation, audit, and law, intentions don’t matter—outcomes do. Success and failure depend on merit, prudence, discipline, incentives, and accountability. No one rewards excuses. No system survives on emotion detached from reality.

Around the same time, I encountered Ayn Rand and Chanakya.

Rand taught me that rational self-interest is not immoral, that creators aren’t villains, and that productivity and excellence are virtues—not sins.

Chanakya taught me that nations don’t survive on sentiment, but on human nature, power, incentives, and competence.

Ironically, a Western capitalist philosopher and an ancient Indian strategist converged on the same truth:

Reality over utopia
Merit over entitlement
Responsibility over victimhood
Outcomes over slogans
I didn’t abandon compassion.
I abandoned naivety.
I didn’t move Right because of hatred or propaganda.

I moved Right because Left-wing theory collapsed when tested against reality.

That shift wasn’t betrayal.
It was growth.
