@paakojosarkodie What they usually do is to first get the conviction then go for confiscation of properties if they can prove those properties were acquired through the proceeds of crime.

@konkrumah You, as an MP know that, when parliament passes a bill, the president doesn't have the choice to refuse to give his assent to the bill. He can only indicate portions to be worked on.

I completely believe in due process.

I completely believe in rule of law.

I completely believe in prosecutorial fairness. Etc.

But it is really nauseating when elites talk about such stuff only when one of their own is in the grip of the law.

Meanwhile:

For small people, used iPhone 12 (~3k GHS) = 10 years in jail.

For BIG PEOPLE, 100s of millions of GHS = nolle prosequi.
