To all LGBTQIA+ people in Australia,

The Trump administration has begun rolling back protections for gender diverse and LGBTQIA+ people in the United States.

This is unequivocally unacceptable.

Please know that as long as I am in our nation’s parliament I will fight for you and your rights.

Today, I call on both major Australian political parties to make the same promise.

I know this is a frightening time. Know that you are loved and supported and not judged.
