E85 at ₹82/L means you pay ₹20 less than E20 petrol per litre. But E85 tanks empty 30% faster.

So on a 40-litre tank:
E20 gives 720 km.
E85 gives ~504 km.

To travel 720 km on
E85 you need 57 litres × ₹82 = ₹4,674.
On E20 you need 40L × ₹102 = ₹4,080.

E85 costs ₹594 MORE for the same journey. This is the "cheaper fuel."
