@jon_wertheim@Wimbledon The system is broken if a player has enough ranking points to be seeded three full weeks before the start of an event yet does not receive direct entry into the main draw. Absolutely ridiculous.
@TomCrean Ridiculous that anyone has to explain this to high-ranking decision makers, but credit to Saban for doing it. Scary times for those of us who value non-revenue college sports.
@DanWolken Sabalenka has still not matured beyond hitting nearly every shot as hard as she can and imploding mentally when that doesn't work. No plan B, no finesse, no mental toughness. It's actually an indictment of the women's field that she is able to coast through so many tournaments.
@TheBorisBecker I don't think this statement is controversial or even debatable. Winning any of the major events 14 times is completely absurd. The gap beween one player and everyone else on a specific surface will never again be as large as it was for Nadal on clay.
@WHENESOTA Hilarious how criticism of the Gobert trade is dismissed because of a few early-round playoff wins. I said from the beginning that the trade would stress the salary cap, force a second trade involving Gobert/Towns and make it difficult to build depth without all those picks.
