A beautiful, clear morning in Kyoto, though a bit warmer than expected. Attended my son's choir competition this morning—the children did a wonderful job. Guiding in Gion this evening; I must work just as hard!
Rainy morning in Kyoto. 🌧️ Spending my time at the license center today.
For those traveling, a rainy day is the perfect time to chill at a hotel or cafe. Kyoto has so many hidden gem cafes waiting to be found!
My recommendation? My lips are sealed! 🤫✨

It’s raining in Kyoto today, but the tour goes on! 🌧️ You can absolutely still enjoy Kyoto in the rain. Today, I’m exploring the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest with my guests. Pro tip for a rainy day: check out the covered Nishiki Market! ⛩️🥢 #Kyoto#Arashiyama#TravelJapan
Clear skies and warm weather in Kyoto today! Wearing long sleeves was a mistake.🧥 Guiding a tour near Kiyomizu-dera this afternoon!🙌#Kyoto#Kiyomizudera#KyotoTravel
Today is the last day of the 5-day Silver Week holiday. I’m leaving Kyoto to head back to my hometown. Hope I don’t get stuck in traffic on the way home! It’s cloudy in Kyoto, but I’m just glad it’s not raining. ☁️🏡
Sunny day vibes! Visited a hidden bamboo forest outside Arashiyama. It’s car-only, so almost empty. Honestly, without people, it just feels a bit lonely. Made me appreciate how great Arashiyama is, even when it’s crowded!
At Kinkakuji! So incredibly gold as always ✨ Answered a bunch of questions from guests about its history, culture, and fun trivia—they loved it! #Kinkakuji
It’s cloudy in Kyoto today. The weather forecast says there’s a slight chance of rain, but I don't think it will. I’m on a tour guiding job today, visiting Kinkaku-ji and Ryoan-ji temples. I might bump into some of you who are planning to visit around there!
Current weather in Kyoto: Cloudy, but rain is on the way and will likely continue until evening. 🌧️For rainy day plans, Nishiki Market, Sanjusangen-do, and Kennin-ji Temple are great indoor options! 👍#KyotoTravel
@swimthighwear Each temple has its own rules, so please follow their signs! (e.g., removing shoes, no photos inside). Entry might be free or paid, and some areas are private. Since temples and shrines have different rules, a good first step is learning to tell them apart!
Already afternoon! Under 30°C and comfy—perfect for a stroll. Clouds were forecast, but blue skies are peeking through. Grabbing tea at a chic cafe sounds nice, but my top pick today is eating Aburi-mochi at Imamiya Shrine!
It’s cloudy today in Kyoto, and no rain is expected. The sun isn’t too strong, with temps staying below 30°C—making it a pleasant day! My recommendation is Toji Temple. How about checking out the five-story pagoda?

Today there was a special festival "Aoi matsuri" in Kyoto city. This festival has more than 1000 years, many people wearing a traditional kimono, walked through Kyoto city. This time our ex-Emperor joined as an audience, I could see him directly. So awesome experience!
I did the food tasting tour with Dana and her husband. It was Saturday, lunch time. Usually it might be the most busy hours but I felt not so busy. April finished, busy season finished. We could enjoy many kinds of foods without joining long lines.
Today I did the bike tour with Timothy and Marina. This time I customized my course for the place they wanted to visit. Of course my original course might be the best, but if my guests have some places they want to go, I should do my best. Today I did it. I'm so proud!
I visited to some of the places for cherry blossoms. Some were the places just for the local people, some were for the travellers. But every cherry blossoms were great. They made me so happy. I think the cherry blossoms in Kyoto are so special.
