Honored to be invited to the Department of Energy’s announcement of the new PROSPECT initiative, with up to $100 million dedicated to expanding education and workforce development in mining, critical minerals, and related technologies. This investment will help attract the next generation of engineers, geologists, metallurgists, and skilled professionals the industry needs. As a national leader in mining education, the University of Nevada and the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering are well positioned to help advance this effort, delivering benefits to our community, Nevada, and the nation.
