There’s this girl that I sit by in my bio class and we are worlds apart in our beliefs. Today she said “You’re not someone I would usually hang out with. You love Jesus and stuff but you don’t force him on me, you show him to me...you know what I mean?” Wow I’ve prayed for that.

And this is one of the many reasons why no one wants to be a Christian. I am so sorry to anyone who’s been hurt by a Christian or the church. My Jesus didn’t treat people that way. I love you, He loves you, and you are asked to come as you are. He’ll work out the rest I promise.

My whole perception of Jesus changed when I asked Him to help me see His characteristics in His children. I started seeing Him in the kindness of the cashier, in the patience of the waiter, in the servant heart of a guy who thought no one noticed. Seeking Jesus is so beautiful.
