OPEN LETTER TO THE PEOPLE OUTSIDE DAVAO CITY
To our fellow Filipinos outside Davao City: Please focus on the affairs of your own communities.
We respect your choices during elections, and we ask for the same courtesy. Dabawenyos know what’s best for Davao — we live here, we see the changes, and we feel the impact of our decisions.
If you're unhappy with how things turned out where you are, that’s your own reality to face. But please, don’t impose your dissatisfaction on us or question why we voted the way we did.
Despite limited support from the national government, our LGU continues to deliver services that give real value to the taxes we pay. Davao City thrives not because of external noise but because of the discipline, resilience, and unity of its people.
Under the Duterte leadership, we remain debt-free, with a Gross Domestic Product of ₱532 billion in 2024. Even without the presence of kakampinks (well we don’t need you here), Davao welcomed over 3.7 million tourists from 2022 to 2024, significantly boosting our local economy.
Dabawenyos, known for being law-abiding and hardworking, helped attract ₱776 billion in new investments—solidifying our place among Southeast Asia’s top startup ecosystems.
We’ve launched educational programs like the E-Scholar of Davao, opened new facilities such as the Central 911 Toril Station, and led the way in infrastructure innovations like the Underground Cable Project—something no other city in Mindanao has.
Add to that modernized roads, upgraded hospitals, and comprehensive support for agriculture and public markets.
We’ve also prioritized cultural development through the Davao City Culture and Arts Office and improved governance via digital systems like the Online Business Permit Licensing and Property Tax Payment platforms.
Davao City puts its people first—students, workers, farmers, and the marginalized all have a place in our progress.
And yes, voting for the Dutertes gave us the peace of mind to walk safely at night, the security to leave our phones on the table while ordering food, and the dignity not to rely on “pagpag” for survival.
We’re doing just fine here in Davao. We're more than okay. Maybe it’s time you channel your obsession toward the slow progress in your own city/province and hold your leaders accountable for it.
In Davao— LIFE IS HERE.
Sincerely,
Proudly raised by a Duterte

@bongbongmarcos@SenImeeMarcos have you forgotten this?? What Duterte have done to your parents, where no other presidents did? Think back on your yesterday. You owe Duterte for your parents and how did you pay him? Sending him to ICC.
@inquirerdotnet Pag si Sara naging presidente, pa request nga bilang ganti sa ating mga supporters, pwde ba ipadala si Trillianes at Delima sa ICC?? Please lang.. para mabawasan mga bangag sa mundo.. 😡😡
@bubuy_0823@geeceedoo@rowena_guanzon When an OFW is in trouble, Duterte rescue them and bring them home safely. BBM did the opposite. When the calamity happened, who is the one on the ground helping people. Remember Yolanda?
@bubuy_0823@geeceedoo@rowena_guanzon Tanong ko lang maam, do you have a passport or driver's license ? This just sample, ha. Hindi ka ba masaya na 10yrs na expiration nito? Marami pa iba google mo.
@iampomski Look at Canada and US they are close allies for a long time . Now they are fighting because Trump impose tarrif on Canada and vice versa.. politics is a dirty business. They each want the power, hence the betrayals because of greed.
@iampomski Even Jesus Christ was betrayed.. not just Filipino .. it's because humans are greedy.. it's human nature .. nasa bible nag umpisa na betrayal.. not only because of Filipino Culture.. wag naman ganyan..
