Our very own Mrs Fiona Noble accepting her award at the Worlds Teachers’ Day award ceremony this evening. We can’t think of a more deserving teacher. We are so lucky to have her!
PBPS staff using the ‘What Works Best’ document to guide our practice. This afternoon’s PL focussed closely on Explicit Teaching and Assessment. It was a great session with passionate educators discussing our future directions.
Fortnightly coffee and chat sessions provide an opportunity for our parents to engage in quality conversations with us about school planning and future steps. So valuable! #parentsaslearningpartners
Working collaboratively with #HolgatePS and #EmpireBayPS to build stronger formative assessment practices and embed improved systems to analyse student growth. Listening to and learning from other experts is so rewarding. @LisaWicks1@LisaLew18253513 @jessicalavo
Great principals inspire, nurture and lead with commitment and dedication. @LisaLew18253513 certainly does this every day, and for that, we are so grateful! Thanks for all the support of staff, students and community! #principalappreciationday2023
External Validation is a chance to think critically and reflect upon current practice. It guides important decisions and helps to plan the next steps. We have thoroughly enjoyed this process and will continue to use self-assessment as an important tool towards improvement.
Round one debating kicked off today and the students of PBPS made us proud! There was certainly some nerves to start the day, but each student tried their best and took on the valuable feedback of the adjudicators. We are ready to go for round two!
We finished off a spectacular week at PBPS with an afternoon tea for our beautiful mums. Many thanks to our wonderful P&C who organised this event and spoilt all the lovely women in our lives!

Thank you to our wonderful P&C for spoiling our students with new soccer goals! Just what they needed to kickstart their lunchtime tournament, organised and run by our student leaders!
Great start to the term with our friends from @rumbalara_eec . We visited local sacred Aboriginal sites near Maitland Bay and searched the rock pools at Copacabana Beach for living species.
It was lovely hearing from Gavi about Aboriginal history and culture. #connecttocountry
Our #EasterHatParade was a great success yesterday. Lots of fancy hats, an abundance of Easter eggs and we even had a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny. 🐰
Today, we welcomed families and community members to our #yarnup to help plant bush tucker and talk about Aboriginal Histories and Culture. We also collaborated with students and their families to set personalised academic and cultural goals. #alwayswasalwayswillbe
Stage 3 students thoroughly enjoyed participating in a debating workshop at Erina Heights PS today. They are feeling much more confident leading into their first debate early next term. The students look forward to using the 3 M’s of debating, Manner, Method and Matter.
Continuing our focus on writing this week in our staff PL. Led by our principal, teachers looked at sentence structure and vocabulary, enhancing our own understanding in this area to improve teaching practice.
