@PizzinoMichael Wave b of the primary (yellow) wave 2 looks perfectly impulsive; to me it should be a minor wave 1 instead (so far, it doesn't change the outcome though)>
Wave 5 of a "motive wave" may never happen, but it doesn't mean the advance wasn't a motive wave (and I'm not talking about the "truncated 5th waves" here because to me truncations don't exist). #Elliottwave#tradingstrategy
Tools that rely on the Elliott / Harmonic / Neo Wave are flawed. They just connect the pivot points that meet certain mathematical formulas which rely on a wrong set of assumptions. They are unable to recognize the personality and relations of the waves. #ElliottWave#trading
Popular chart patterns vs Elliott Wave patterns:
1. Double / triple top | bottom, head & shoulders | inverse, bullish / bearish flag, megaphone.
2. Rising / falling wedge, triangle / pennant, cup & handle, rounding top / bottom.

The Elliott Wave Theory - the Revised Rules and a Look at the Validity of the Guidelines
The following are some of the revised Elliott Wave rules and a list of guidelines with comments about their usefulness / reliability.
Today, only a relatively small percentage of price action movements adhere 100% to the ideal classic wave theory; the rest cannot be fully explained without violating the rules or guidelines such as the guideline of the "right look" or wave proportionality.
To me, the Elliott Wave theory is an excellent prototype, but the market behavior is no longer as simple and predictable as almost a century ago when the theory was published.

A recent price action of BAC (Bank of America) - the monthly chart, using the Elliott Wave Theory. It's possible the move will turn out an impulse wave as opposed to a diagonal (possibly the ending one), but for that to occur the price must not go below $20.
